Jaipur, Apr 23 : Properties worth thousands of rupees were gutted after a major fire broke out at a wedding marquee in Jaipur on Friday.

The inferno that broke in the Satyam Marriage Garden here, reportedly spread over the entire area within a few minutes.

Around five fire engines were rushed to the area to douse the blaze.

‘It is a matter of investigation but prima facie it seems that fire was caused by short-circuit in an AC (air conditioner). Further, it is matter of investigation,’ said Rajasthan Police Circuit Officer Raghuveer Saini.

So far, no casualties have been reported in the incident.
